British Columbia held its first January draw

More than 200 people received invitations.

On January 4, the province of British Columbia held an immigration draw under the provincial immigration program. Some of the invitations were sent to participants in the general drawing, and some were sent to professionals in certain occupations. A total of 211 candidates were selected.

163 people were invited in the general draw for the following streams:

The passing score for entry-level and semi-skilled specialists was 82, and for the rest of the participants, it was 105. The previous general draw was held on December 13, with slightly lower passing scores.

Also, 48 invitations were received by educators and medics. Participants had to score 60 points, and the invitations were distributed as follows:

Healthcare professionals 20 Skilled Worker, International Graduate, including those registered in Express Entry

The previous targeted draw in BC was on December 20. The passing scores were the same, but fewer invitations were sent.
