Travelling to Canada becomes more convenient
Another airport accepts electronic declarations filled out in advance.
Online declarations for entry into Canada are now available for passengers at one more airport. This allows travelers to fill out immigration and customs declarations in advance to save time when they arrive in Canada.
Electronic declarations are filled out through the ArriveCAN application. At the time of the pandemic, its use was mandatory; now it is optional. The new airport that accepts ArriveCAN declarations is Halifax Stanfield International Airport in Nova Scotia.
More recently, Winnipeg Airport began accepting the same declarations and the Canadian government plans to make the option available in all major cities in the country. Electronic declarations can be completed at any time during the 72 hours before you arrive in Canada. If necessary, they can be edited upon arrival.
