What other restrictions will be lifted?
Today the federal government announced the partial lifting of epidemiological restrictions as of April 25, 2022. They apply to those who cross the Canadian border. You still have to wear masks on trains and planes.
Unvaccinated and partially vaccinated children under age 11 are no longer required to take a coronavirus test before departure if accompanied by a fully vaccinated parent, Parents and guardians of such children are not required to enter quarantine plan by completing the form in appendix ArriveCan.
All fully vaccinated travelers and those who cannot vaccinate for medical reasons are exempt from the obligation to put a quarantine plan on the application. Fully vaccinated people are not required for two weeks to wear masks, to record all close contacts and places visited, and to report any changes in well-being. Also, fully vaccinated people are not required to quarantine if someone who has had coronavirus symptoms or a positive test result traveled with them.
