Canada has changed the rules of entry from abroad again
The requirement to wear masks indoors and outdoors was not even known to many Canadians.
The federal government's Web site on April 14 updated requirements for those entering the country. Although many provinces have abolished all or part of the mask regime, those arriving from abroad are required to wear masks both indoors and outdoors, regardless of vaccination certificate and test results.
Border posts and airports are still choosing random travelers to test them for coronavirus. The government recommends registering in advance on the special portals of those medical organizations that take tests at airports to speed up the process.
Even if you test negative, you and your children must:
- observe local epidemiological restrictions;
- wear a properly fitting mask for 14 days;
- record all close contacts and places visited for 14 days;
- carry copies of your vaccination and coronavirus test documents with you for 14 days.
If federal restrictions differ from local ones, you have to follow the ones that are stricter.
