Selections in British Columbia on March 29
The province needs IT specialists, doctors, veterinarians, and kindergarten teachers.
This time only targeted invitations were sent out — British Columbia needs the same specialists as in the previous targeted drawing, as well as specialists in the technology industry. See the table to see which specialists were invited and what the passing score was.
Profession | Number of invitees | Minimum score | Categories |
Technical specialists | 161 | 87 | Skilled Worker, International Graduate |
Health care professionals | 12 | 75 | Skilled Worker, International Graduate, Entry Level and Semi-Skilled |
Early childhood educators and assistants | 37 | 75 | Skilled Worker, International Graduate |
Veterinarians, animal health technologists and veterinary technicians | <5 | 75 | Skilled Worker, International Graduate |
This time, 215 people received notification letters, more than the last time there were not only targeted drawings, but also a general Skills Immigration selection. The previous selection was March 2022.
As you can see, veterinarians are no longer needed as much by the province, and patient care assistants were not invited at all this time. Watch selection history to increase your chances of getting a provincial nomination.
