The province of Ontario has invited entrepreneurs

The region held its third selection for business owners in 2021.

On October 28, the province Ontario sent out 20 invitations under the provincial immigration program. The selection was for participants in the entrepreneurial stream.

The selected candidates scored between 147 and 174 points in the system "Expression of interest". The minimum score was up slightly from the previous selection, which took place on August 26. Businesses wishing to immigrate to Ontario are assessed on factors such as business experience, education, language skills, size of investment, business characteristics, etc.

To start a business in the Greater Toronto Area, a candidate needs $800,000 CAD of capital and $600,000 CAD as an investment. Businesses that plan to start a business outside of the Greater Toronto Area or in the IT field need only $400,000 CAD of equity and $200,000 CAD as an investment.

To maximize your chances of receiving an invitation to apply for a nomination, we recommend keeping an eye on history of passing scores and number of invitations.
