Province of Ontario holds largest selection in 2021
Approximately 1,500 candidates were the lucky ones in the new drawing.
On October 27, the province Ontario issued 1,408 invitations to apply for a provincial nomination. The selection was made as part of the province's immigration program on the human capital priorities stream. In each draw, the province gives preference to the participants most in demand in the labour market.
Applicants who were selected in the past selection process scored between 455 and 467 on the Complex Ranking System and had experience in one of 6 occupations:
- computer and information systems managers;
- computer engineers;
- database analysts and data administrators;
- software developers;
- programmers and developers of interactive media;
- web designers and web developers.
To participate in the Human Capital Priorities stream, a candidate must have a profile in the Express Entry system that the federal government of Canada uses to process permanent residence applications and meet the requirements of one of the federal programs:
In case of successful provincial nomination, candidates will be added 600 extra points in Express Entry. Due to this high score, they will easily be able to receive an invitation to immigration in the next selection.
To increase your chances of receiving an invitation from Ontario, keep an eye on history of passing scores and number of invitations.
