Alberta shared the results of the last selection

The new draw wrapped up a series of record-breaking selections that the province held in August and September.

On September 30, the Alberta government issued 275 invitations to apply for nomination from the province as part of the provincial immigration program. The drawing took place among candidates who participated in the immigration stream with selection through Express Entry.

The minimum score on the complex ranking system was 300. It did not change compared to previous selection, which was held on September 7.

To receive an invitation in the drawing, applicants needed to have a profile in the Express Entry system, which Canada uses to process applications for permanent residency under the three federal immigration programs:

Candidates who receive a provincial nomination are awarded an additional 600 points. This virtually guarantees an invitation to the subsequent Express Entry draw.
