Another major selection from Saskatchewan
For the third consecutive year, the province has sent a record number of invitations.
On September 8, the Saskatchewan Immigration Programme issued 528 invitations to apply for a nomination from the province.
The invitations were distributed as follows:
- specialists in high-demand professions — 212 invitations;
- qualified professionals who are selected through Express Entry — 316 invitations.
The passing score in the Expression of Interest system for both categories was 66. It was down from the previous selection, which took place on August 19, and was the lowest on record this year.
The invited candidates had experience in one of 16 suitable professions. The list includes managers and supervisors in various fields, medics, psychologists, production operators, supervisors and other specialists.
In addition to having a suitable profession, applicants for immigration to Saskatchewan are assessed on factors such as work experience, education, language, age and links to the province.
