Province of Ontario targets administrative workers
Candidates with work experience in 10 in-demand professions were invited to the immigration selection process.
On June 23, the Ontario Immigration Program issued 583 invitations to apply for a nomination from the province. The selection was for the Human Capital Priorities stream, which is a program for qualified professionals with at least a bachelor's degree. In each selection, the province gives preference to the participants most in demand in the labour market.
To participate in this stream, a candidate must have a profile in the Express Entry system, which the Canadian federal government uses to process permanent residence applications under federal immigration programs, and meet the requirements of one of the programs:
Applicants who were selected in the past selection process scored between 464 and 467 on the Comprehensive Ranking System and had experience in one of 10 occupations:
- managers of banks and lending institutions;
- advertising, marketing and public relations managers;
- business service managers;
- corporate sales managers;
- financial auditors and accountants;
- financial and investment analysts;
- human resources specialists;
- specialists in business consulting;
- registered nurses;
- business development managers, marketing researchers, consultants.
Candidates will receive an additional 600 points in Express Entry if they are successful in obtaining a nomination from the province. Due to this high score, they will easily be able to receive an invitation to CoML in the next selection.
To maximize your chances of receiving an invitation to apply for a nomination, we recommend keeping an eye on history of passing scores and number of invitations.
