Canada held the Express Entry draw with a record low score
In the new selection, the passing score was the lowest for 2021.
On May 26, Canada sent 500 invitations to candidates registered in the Express Entry system. This time, luck again smiled on the participants of provincial programs.
The draw was conducted a few days after the selection among candidates with Canadian experience. In 2021, Canada often conducts selections in two streams one or more days apart.
In the last draw, the minimum passing score on the Complex Ranking System was 713, which is 39 points lower than it was in the previous selection. The score requirement may seem high, but this is because all invited participants had previously received provincial nominations.
Express Entry candidates who receive a provincial nomination are automatically awarded 600 points on top of their initial score for age, education, language skills and other factors.
