New Brunswick will hold a job fair for residents of Ukraine

Participants will learn about the province's immigration programs and get a chance to find an employer.

As early as tomorrow, May 21, 2021, New Brunswick, one of Canada's Atlantic provinces, will host a virtual information session for logging machine operators living in Ukraine.

The session will feature New Brunswick representatives talking about provincial immigration programs, support for newcomers, and the opportunity for participants to interview with employers who are in search of professionals.

Such events allow candidates to obtain a job offer and subsequently immigrate through the provincial immigration program. New Brunswick's immigration programs are described here. New Brunswick also participates in the Atlantic Immigration Program, through which session participants can also obtain permanent residency if they find an employer.

To participate in the information session, your work experience must meet the following requirements:

duration from 1 year (uninterrupted) if it is full-time;
duration from 1,560 hours in 24 months (continuous) if part-time;
in a sawmill operator or similar occupation;
experience gained over the last 5 years;
the work was paid (volunteering and unpaid internships do not count).

Candidates who meet the requirements can register and complete the application form for the session. The following documents will be required for registration:

a scan of your passport photo page;
the results of the language test if available;
Certification of diploma (Educational Credential Assessment) if available;
resume (optional);
Spouse's resume (optional);
a visa of the country of residence (if you are not in your country of citizenship).

The questionnaire will ask you to answer questions regarding:

country of residence;
age;
of education;
language level (test results or your own personal assessment of your knowledge);
work experience;
availability of social media for interview opportunities, etc.

The information you give at registration cannot be corrected, so be careful when filling out the form.

Once you have registered, you will receive a confirmation email. Provincial representatives will then select candidates to participate in the information session. Important: Registration does not guarantee participation. Candidates who are selected to participate will receive an additional invitation. Participation in the session is free.
