Province of Ontario invites IT professionals to immigrate

In a major immigration selection process, people with jobs that are in high demand in Ontario have had better luck.

On April 13, the province of Ontario sent nomination invitations to 528 applicants in the Express Entry system. Applicants who made the selection had one year of experience in one of six technical occupations and scored between 456 and 467 on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS).

Provincial Immigration Ontario was recruiting candidates with experience in the following occupations:

Applicants did not need a job offer to receive an invitation, but they did need to have at least one year of experience in one of the specified occupations, as well as have a profile in Express Entry.

Candidates who have received a notice of interest now have 45 calendar days to apply for provincial nomination.

Candidates will be awarded an additional 600 points if they are successful in securing a provincial nomination. Due to this high passing score, candidates will easily be able to receive an invitation to the CoML in the next Express Entry selection through the Human Capital Priorities stream.
