Immigration for investors in Quebec: Acceptance of applications postponed again

The government needs time to modernize the immigration system.

Previously, Quebec had an immigration program for entrepreneurial investors (Immigrant Investor Program), which allowed those who wished to invest in the province to move to the province.

As of November 1, 2019, it suspended the acceptance of applications. It was initially suspended until June 2020, then postponed until April 1, 2021. The Provincial Government has now decided to postpone the acceptance of applications until April 1, 2023.

This decision has been taken as part of the modernization of the immigration system. The period until 2023 will allow the Quebec Ministry of Immigration to finalize and implement a renewed program that better meets the government's objectives in terms of the integration of immigrants into the French-speaking community.
