Saskatchewan shares results of new immigration screening

This time preference was given to candidates of only one stream.

On February 25, Saskatchewan sent out 299 invitations to applicants to apply for the province's nomination and to further pursue permanent residency in Canada.

Candidates needed to score a minimum of 70 points — down 2 points from the previous selection, which took place on February 11, 2021.

Invited candidates had experience in one of the 89 eligible occupations. Some examples of suitable occupations include corporate sales managers, data processing specialists, electrical and electronics engineers and technicians, advertising and marketing managers, and others.

To participate in the selection process, candidates in both categories had to create and complete profiles in Expression of Interest and Certify a degree to know its equivalent in Canada.
