New Express Entry selection: Canada invited more than 3,000 candidates

Canada held two Express Entry selections in just two days. Who received invitations?

Following selection for candidates in provincial immigration programs, Canada invited candidates in Express Entry's system on July 23 for a program for professionals with Canadian work experience.

On July 23, 2020, Canada sent Invitations to Apply to 3,343 Express Entry applicants. In this selection, only candidates in the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) program received invitations.

The minimum passing score on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) for this selection was 445.

Recall that despite the pandemic for 2020 and 2021, Canada has set high levels of immigration for Express Entry programs. The number of immigrants in the three federal high-skilled programs is expected to rise to 85,800 this year and 88,800 in 2021, and the Express Entry-flow of provincial immigration programs is expected to rise to 67,800 in 2020 and 71,300 in 2021.

A total of 57,700 invitations for Express Entry selections have been sent since the beginning of the year.
