Immigration to Prince Edward Island through Express Entry selection
Candidates who meet the requirements of one of the federal programs and have an Express Entry profile may immigrate through the PEI Express Entry stream.
The PEI Express Entry stream of the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program is designed for those who have registered in the federal Express Entry system.
Requirements
To be eligible for the PEI Express Entry program, you must meet the following requirements:
- have an active profile in Express Entry;
- meet the minimum criteria for one of the federal immigration programs:
The province has an additional requirement for candidates who have graduated from a Canadian educational institution and received a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP), as well as for those who have an open work permit issued based on their spouse's study permit from an institution outside Prince Edward Island. In addition to the above, they must also have 9 months of work experience with a Prince Edward Island employer, and at the time of submitting their Expression of Interest, they must have at least 4 months remaining on their work permit.
Candidates are not required to have a job offer in the province, but Prince Edward Island gives preference to those who do.
How to apply
After creating an Express Entry profile, candidates must submit an Expression of Interest in the provincial system.
