Immigration to Newfoundland and Labrador for international graduates

Immigration to Newfoundland and Labrador for international graduates

People who have graduated from one of Canada's universities can obtain permanent residency through the International Graduate stream.

The International Graduate stream of the Newfoundland and Labrador provincial program allows graduates of Canadian educational institutions who have found employment in the province to obtain permanent residency.

Eligibility

To be able to immigrate through the International Graduate stream, you must:

  • be between the ages of 21 and 59;
  • complete an academic program in Canada and obtain a Post-Graduation Work Permit;
  • get a job offer in Newfoundland and Labrador:
    • in NOC level 0, A or B occupation (managerial, skilled and trades occupations);
    • in NOC C occupation (medium-skilled) if it is on the list of in-demand occupations;
  • for NOC C occupations: demonstrate proficiency in English or French at level 4 on the CLB scale (basic level);
  • have a sufficient amount of money to settle in the province.

There is an additional requirement for graduates from institutions outside of Newfoundland and Labrador: to have worked in the province for at least a year before applying, and the job offer must correspond to the field of study.

How to apply

Candidates interested in immigration through the International Graduate stream can register on the official website of the province of Newfoundland and Labrador.
