A new general selection in the Express Entry system has taken place

Fewer invitations, but lower scores.

After a prolonged pause, the Ministry of Immigration arranges regular draws in the Express Entry system. On December 18, the next general selection was held, which resulted in invitations to 1,325 candidates who scored at least 542 points in the Comprehensive Ranking System.

Express Entry is Canada's system for selecting applicants for federal immigration programs. There are three in total:

The previous drawing was held December 8, then invited only specialists in the field of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. And the general selection was held for the last time December 6. Invitations were sent out much more, but the passing score was almost 20 points higher.
