Finally passed the Express Entry selection for provincial programs

Candidates have been waiting for it for almost six months.

On October 24, another round of selections was held in the Express Entry system for candidates with provincial nominations. The last time such a drawing was held as far back as May.

Invitations were extended to 1,548 people who scored at least 776 points in the Comprehensive Ranking System. This is quite high — both in comparison with the previous round May 10, and in general for such selections.

However, keep in mind that a provincial nomination automatically adds 600 points to applicants. This means that without the nomination, invited applicants only needed 176 points for age, education, work experience, language skills and other factors. The nomination is given to those who, after registering with Express Entry, applied under one of the provincial immigration programs and received an invitation.
