British Columbia selects permanent residency candidates again
Different categories of applicants are invited.
A new selection under British Columbia's provincial immigration program. On September 6, the province invited 222 people. Some of them with in-demand occupations.
The 160 invitations were distributed among the following categories:
- Skilled Worker — a minimum score of 107;
- International Graduate — a minimum score of 110;
- Entry-Level and Semi-Skilled — a minimum score of 89.
The remaining 62 candidates needed to have an in-demand occupation and score 60 points:
- early childhood educators and assistants — 43 invitations;
- healthcare professionals — 19 invitations.
British Columbia awards points for work experience, education, language skills, employer location, salary, and similar factors. You must also find a job in the province before applying for immigration.
British Columbia held the same selection on August 22, with passing scores almost unchanged. And on August 29, a targeted draw took place only for professionals with in-demand occupations.
Follow the history of British Columbia's draws to keep up to date with any changes in passing scores and the number of invitations issued, this may increase your chances of transferring.
