However, passing scores are not always pleasing.

On July 11, Canada held a new draw in Express Entry for candidates of all federal immigration programs.

Invitations were sent to 800 applicants who scored 505 points in the Comprehensive Ranking System. Points are awarded for education, language skills, age, work experience, and so on.

Express Entry is the system used in Canada to select applicants for federal immigration programs:

The previous general selection was held on July 4. The minimum score is 6 points higher, but 505 points is still a high score, and many candidates find that number extremely difficult to achieve.

Also from July 5 to 7, Canada conducted targeted Express Entry draws for applicants with in-demand occupations and French language skills. In these selections, the passing scores were significantly lower.
