A Canadian province will look for workers from abroad
There will be a new job fair in August.
New Brunswick has announced new job fairs where foreign applicants can meet with employers, be interviewed, and possibly get a coveted job offer that will later help them immigrate.
The events will take place from August 19 to 21, 2023 in the city of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Residents of all countries are welcome to participate.
Requirements
The main requirement for job fair participants is to have at least one year of work experience in one of the following occupations:
- electrical and electronics engineers;
- construction estimators;
- cooks;
- bakers;
- food and beverage servers;
- machinists and machining and tooling inspectors;
- welders and related machine operators;
- carpenters;
- heavy-duty equipment mechanics;
- heating, refrigeration, and air conditioning mechanics;
- automotive service technicians, truck and bus mechanics, and repairers;
- Auto body collision, refinishing, and glass technicians and damage repair estimators;
- concrete finishers;
- painters and decorators;
- residential and commercial installers and servicers;
- transport truck drivers;
- heavy equipment operators;
- construction trades helpers and labourers;
- other trades helpers and labourers;
- industrial painters, coaters, and metal finishing process operators.
You must have a Canadian-format CV to register for the fair. Also, preference will be given to those who have relatives in New Brunswick and who are currently ready to immigrate, i.e. have the results of educational credentials evaluation and language test.
Spouses can also be included in the application, regardless of their profession.
How to apply
If you want to attend the fairs, you must register at the official New Brunswick website.
Applications will be reviewed by a provincial committee; not everyone will receive an invitation. Invited candidates will be notified later of the exact time and location of the fair. Your application form and CV will also be available to employers in New Brunswick and they can invite you for an interview.
