Saskatchewan's first draw in 2023

Saskatchewan

There have been no draws for two months.

Saskatchewan released the results of its immigration drawing under the provincial program, which took place on February 16. This is the first draw for professionals this year, but the region already had a round of invitations for entrepreneurs.

Saskatchewan sent 421 invitations to specialists. 1 of them was intended for a citizen of Ukraine, who scored 65 points in the evaluation system. The previous draw for Ukrainians took place on December 15, and the minimum score was slightly lower.

The remaining 420 invitations were divided between two streams:

Candidates in both streams needed to score a minimum of 84 points. Saskatchewan awards points for education, work experience, language skills, age, and connections to the province. In the previous draw, which took place on December 21, the minimum score was 4 points lower.

In addition to the passing score, all candidates, except the Ukrainian citizen, needed work experience in one of the appropriate occupations. The list included managers in various fields, professions in IT, science, agriculture, health care, manufacturing, education, sales, accommodation and hospitality services, and so on. You can see the full list on the official Saskatchewan website.
