List of countries from where young people can get Canadian work experience
In December 2022, the Minister of Immigration announced Canada's plans to invite young people to work. 90,000 visas will be approved.
The official website has opened online registration for anyone wishing to visit Canada on a youth work visa. The first round of invitations for 2023 will be held on January 9. Residents of those countries who are eligible for the International Experience Canada program (IEC) need to create a work profile and answer a few questions.
The following changes were added on December 13:
- the Young Professionals and International Co-op categories were added;
- applicants are allowed to participate 2 times for 12 months (according to the bilateral agreement).
Visas for this program can be either open or employer-restricted. It depends on the program category and the country: Working Holiday, Young Professionals, and International Co-op.
