Immigration flow conditions for entrepreneurs in Ontario have changed
The province has appointed new organizations to check the availability of funds.
To move to Ontario under the entrepreneurial stream, you have to prove you have enough money and it is legally obtained. In April, the province announced a desire to attract more entrepreneurs and chose the Toronto Business Development Centre to develop and launch a pilot immigration project within the existing stream.
Later, the province held a tender and selected organizations that it trusts to conduct inspections.
Those documents issued by previously accredited organizations through and including May 31, 2022 remain valid. From June 1, you must apply to any of the three organizations:
- Grant Thornton LLP;
- KPMG LLP;
- MNP LLP.
The latter organization is based in Canada and is one of the country's largest auditing and consulting accounting firms. Grant Thornton LLP is headquartered in America, and KPMG LLP is headquartered in the Netherlands.
