New selection in Express Entry
Canada invited almost 700 candidates.
On October 13, the Government of Canada sent 681 invitations to candidates registered in the Express Entry system. Candidates from provincial programs participated in the drawing.
According to Complex ranking system, the minimum passing score was 720. The high level of passing score can be explained by the provincial nomination of candidates. The nomination automatically adds another 600 points to the candidate's score.
The Express Entry system selects immigrants through three federal programs:
- Highly skilled professionals;
- specialists in the working professions;
- specialists with experience in Canada.
