Updated the monetary minimum required to immigrate through the Atlantic program

The required monetary minimum to enter Canada under the Atlantic Immigration Program has increased.

This immigration program includes three categories of accepted citizens:

High-Skilled Professionals (Atlantic High-Skilled Program);

intermediate-skilled professionals (Atlantic Intermediate-Skilled Program); international graduates of Atlantic Provincial Studies (Atlantic International Graduate Program).

The new requirements are valid for all categories:

If you are not working in Canada on a valid work permit, then show that you have enough money to support yourself and your family after you arrive in the country.

Note: You cannot borrow this money from another person. You must be able to use the money to pay your family's expenses (even if the family is not moving in with you).

You need to show proof of your funds to the Canadian visa office in your country when you apply for immigration.

The amount of money needed to support your family is determined by the size of your family and is updated annually.

To make it easier to move and find housing in Canada, it is recommended that you show the inspection authorities that you own more money than the allowable minimum.

Please note: Canadian customs regulations require a mandatory declaration of funds in excess of $10,000 CAD when entering Canada.

Cash can be in the form of:

1. Cash.

2. Documents that prove your ownership of property or capital (stocks, bonds, debentures, treasury bills, etc.).

3. Documents guaranteeing the payment of a set amount of money to be paid to you (bank drafts, cheques, traveller's cheques or money orders, etc.).
