Province of Ontario has invited more than a thousand I.T. workers to immigrate

In the biggest draw, the province favoured members of six professions.

On February 16, the province of Ontario sent Notices of Interest to 1,186 candidates in the Express Entry system. Applicants who made the selection had experience in one of six technical occupations and scored between 453 and 467 on the Complex Ranking System.

The Ontario Immigration Program was recruiting candidates with experience in one of the following professions:

Applicants did not need a job offer to receive an invitation, but they did need to have at least one year of experience in one of the specified occupations, as well as have a profile in the Express Entry system.

Candidates who have received a notice of interest now have 45 calendar days to apply for provincial nomination.

Candidates will be added an additional 600 points if they successfully receive a nomination from the province. Due to this high passing score, candidates will easily be able to receive an invitation to the next Express Entry selection through the Human Capital Priorities stream.
