The Business Immigration Stream of New Brunswick's provincial program is designed for entrepreneurs who want to do business in the province.

Eligibility

To be able to immigrate through the Business Immigration Stream, you must meet the following requirements:

  • be between the ages of 22 and 59;
  • have at least a high school education;
  • demonstrate proficiency in English or French at level 5 on the CLB scale;
  • have at least 3 years of business management experience within the last 5 years, with a 51% or more business ownership or in a senior management position;
  • create a business plan;
  • have a net worth of $500,000 CAD and the ability to invest $150,000 CAD in the business;
  • own 33.33% of the New Brunswick-based company;
  • create at least one workplace;
  • score 65 out of 100 on the provincial scoring system.

How to apply

If you are interested in Business Immigration Stream, you need to create an account on the New Brunswick official website and fill out the information about yourself. The province will give you points for age, education, language skills, net worth amount, business management experience, business plan, and adaptability. If approved, you will be able to arrive in the province and start a business. After a year, you will have the opportunity to apply for permanent residency in Canada.
