Another Alberta immigration selection
Candidates were invited, including candidates who scored much lower than before.
Alberta reported on the results of the immigration screening for health care professionals that took place on Dec. 5. Invitations were sent to 19 candidates who scored 301 points or more.
The previous such drawing was held on November 21, and the passing score then was much higher — by as much as 44 points. Points in the Comprehensive Ranking System are awarded for age, education, work experience, language skills and other factors.
To be eligible for immigration under this stream, a candidate must fulfill a number of requirements:
- Have an active profile in the Express Entry system;
- Meet the minimum criteria of one of the three federal programs:
- Score at least of 300 points in the Express Entry system;
- Receive a job offer in Alberta in the health care industry;
- Meet the requirements for obtaining a license to practice the profession;
- Have one of the eligible professions — complete list at link.
