A job fair will be held in Vancouver

The event for immigrants involves help with work, settlement and training.

One week from today, on October 26, there will be an immigrant fair in Vancouver. It will be held at the Vancouver East Convention Center in three meeting rooms just steps away from the Waterfront subway station. The event will start at 10am local time and will conclude by 3pm.

Entrance to the fair is free. The event is not only free, but also universal: it offers immigrants help with three of the most painful issues for newcomers. These include, of course, finding a job, housing and education.

So, what's in store for visitors:

  • meetings with employers and recruiters;
  • trainings from career coaches;
  • help with English;
  • advice on banking and business organization;
  • meetings with immigration counselors;
  • help with finding a place to live;
  • question and answer session;
  • speeches by successful immigrants and more.

You must register on the website in advance to participate.
