Alberta again selected in-demand professionals

But there were some conditions.

The province of Alberta released the results of three recent immigration selections. A total of 403 applicants under the Alberta Express Entry stream were selected. Invitations were issued to applicants with occupations in certain sectors.

All applicants must register with Express Entry and meet the requirements of one of the federal immigration programs:

There was also a requirement in each drawing to have a job offer in the province in the sector for which there was a draw and to score a certain number of points in the Comprehensive Ranking System.

On August 15, the province selected 14 candidates with health occupations. They needed 326 points.

On August 16, a draw was held for candidates with tourism and hospitality occupations. Invitations were extended to 300 people who scored a minimum of 408 points.

And on August 22, Alberta invited 89 applicants with construction occupations. They needed at least 303 points.

Previous drawings in Alberta were held on August 1, for health and agriculture professionals, and on August 3, for all candidates regardless of profession.
