Canada is the most attractive country for startups
What helped it become the most comfortable environment for creating commercial projects? One of the key factors is a favorable migration policy.
The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), which includes 38 advanced countries, has ranked the best countries for startups. Canada is in first place, ahead of the United Kingdom, France, and the United States.

- Sweden;
- Australia;
- Netherlands;
- Lithuania.
Canada remains the most attractive country for startup founders. Offering a number of advantages to potential entrepreneurs, Canada has a robust regulatory framework for starting and doing business, a welcoming society for migrants and comfortable living conditions. All of these factors were taken into account for the countries ranking.
The new OECD ranking shows that countries with a strong culture of innovation and entrepreneurship are well positioned to attract startups. Both the United States and the United Kingdom are leading the way. In addition, many companies worth more than a billion dollars, created over the past decade, operate there. However, the migration policy framework for attracting startup creators is not as developed as in Canada, for example.
According to the OECD, Canada is an ideal place for startup founders. Along with Australia, Canada is the only country that offers permanent residency to all successful startup visa applicants from the very first day.
