New job fair for skilled professionals

This November, the province of New Brunswick will hold a job fair in Marrakesh, Morocco. Citizens of all countries are welcome to attend the event.

Requirements

Candidates with at least 1 year's experience in the following occupations are primarily needed:

• financial auditors and accountants;
• financial and investment analysts;
• accounting specialists;
• other financial officers;
• human resources professionals;
• human resources and recruitment officers;
• administrative assistants;
• early childhood educators and assistants;
• registered nurses;
• licensed practical nurses;
• nurse aides and orderlies;
• advertising, marketing and public relations managers;
• professionals in advertising, marketing and public relations;
• wood products assemblers and inspectors;
• translators, terminologists and interpreters.

If your occupation is not on the list, you are still allowed to apply, but it may reduce your chances of being invited to the fair.

If you have an evaluation of your educational credentials and recent language test results, this may increase your chances of being invited. Also, having relatives in New Brunswick will increase your chances. In contrast, having relatives in other Canadian provinces will decrease them.

How to apply

You can apply for the fair on New Brunswick's official website.

You will be asked to provide information about yourself: age, occupation, work experience, amount of money available, and so on. You can also provide the same information about your spouse or partner on your application. After the questions, you will need to take a short video interview in monologue format.

Not all registered candidates will be able to attend the fair — the selection committee will send out invitations to the most suitable candidates. Invitees will be notified of the exact date and time of the fair.
