British Columbia invited more than 150 specialists
The province again needs medics and kindergarten teachers.
On July 12, British Columbia sent out invitations to apply for nomination. The nomination gives 600 extra points in the Express Entry system, which means an almost complete guarantee of a permanent residence permit.
The province sent out 132 invitations as part of the general selection process. The targeted selections included:
- 22 early childhood educator and assistant;
- 10 health care professionals (other than those named below);
- less than 5 nurse assistants, orderlies, and patient care assistants;
- less than 5 veterinarians, animal health technologists and veterinary technicians.

In this selection, British Columbia sent out 174 invitations. In the previous drawing, which was held July 5, the province chose fewer candidates — only 133.
