Alberta held a new selection

Passing grades continue to decline.

On March 8, 2022, the Province of Alberta invited candidates who had already registered in the pool of the federal Express Entry program to apply for a provincial nomination. A total of 350 notices were sent.

The passing score was even lower. In this selection, only 318 points were required for the Comprehensive Ranking System, whereas in the two previous selections, the minimum scores were 340 and 346.

The last selection to Alberta was February 1. At that time, 400 people were invited. In all, Alberta sent out invitations to 1,350 candidates in 2022. Usually they invite people who have expressed a desire to settle in Alberta and who have a profession that is useful for the economic development of the province.

To increase your chances of receiving an invitation from the Province of Alberta, keep an eye on history of passing scores and number of invitations.
