Alberta made the biggest selection of the year

There hasn't been a raffle like this since 2019!

On Aug. 10, Alberta's immigration program sent 396 invitations to apply for a nomination from the province. The draw was among applicants who participated in the immigration stream with selection through Express Entry and was the largest since October 2019.

The minimum score on the complex ranking system was 300. It was unchanged from the previous selection, which took place on 27 July.

To receive an invitation in the drawing, applicants needed to have a profile in the Express Entry system, which Canada uses to process applications for permanent residency under the three federal immigration programs:

Candidates who receive a nomination from a province are awarded an additional 600 points. This virtually guarantees an invitation to the subsequent Express Entry draw.

To maximize your chances of receiving an invitation from the Province of Alberta, keep an eye on history of passing scores and number of invitations.
