Do you want to get to Canada in a safe way, build your career and not be homeless on the streets after you move? Then this method is for you.

In 2021, Canada was ranked as the best country to live in. In 2021, the government has promised to welcome 401,000 new immigrants, with even more in the coming years. To that end, more than 100 immigration programs and streams have been created that, in theory, suit everyone: academics, skilled workers, workers, refugees, business people, students — basically, everyone.

But something has gone wrong this year, and promises to welcome new immigrants may not be fulfilled. Borders for most people are closed, quarantine is tightened, and many businesses are temporarily closed. Large supermarkets sell only groceries and basic necessities. Rows of clothes are blocked off and can only be ordered online. Not even flowers can be purchased in the store. It is forbidden to gather in the streets, I can't invite anyone to visit me.

There hasn't been any Express Entry selection for regular emigrants yet since December 23 last year. I'm hoping something will change soon, but at the moment this is how it is. For the sake of fairness, I should note that immigration selections do go through and people do come to Canada. But more often than not, it is on work or student visas.

I think it will be difficult to find a job during the closing of businesses and this option is better considered for IT people, caregivers and other in-demand professions that vary from province to province.

I myself am already bored with living within the framework of constant bans. I wanted to fly somewhere this summer with my family, but I didn't want to risk my money because they might cancel flights and close hotels. I would like to believe that these restrictions will be reduced, the same vaccination is increased, but so far there is an increase in diseases.

So what do you do if you want to move to Canada as quickly as possible and then adapt to your new country as well as possible? I believe it is the path through Canadian college, with quarantine and restrictions as advantages.

But let's go in order.

Why immigration through study?

The first point is that you can now apply for admission to a Canadian university and your studies will start online. This means that you will save money on living in Canada, as you will continue to live in your own country for some time.

The second is when classes resume on campus, you must come to Canada and continue your education in a regular classroom. You can then legally work up to 20 hours a week.

The third advantage is that you will receive a Canadian education and learn a required profession.

The fourth point is that after your studies you can stay in Canada on work visa, which is issued for 1-3 years. If you are not a sucker, you can find a job.

Fifth, once you graduate in Canada and get Canadian work experience, there are additional immigration programs available to you. For example, in February, more than 27,000 people were invited on a one-time basis with the lowest passing score in Express Entry's history.

The sixth advantage is that while you study and work in Canada, the clock is ticking and the time to get citizenship is reduced.

Everything I'm telling you now is really one of the best ways to not just immigrate to Canada, but to adapt to society. I believe that finding yourself in a new country is also very important.

I'm sure you have questions about what it takes to get into college, at what age it's possible, how much money it takes, etc.

Tuition and accommodation costs

The average annual cost of attending college is $15,000 CAD. Somewhere more expensive, somewhere cheaper. To get a student visa, you need to additionally show that you have at least $10,000 CAD. It is better to show more, because for such money will be difficult to find decent housing to rent (and a room, not an entire apartment), eat, buy books, travel permit, etc. I recommend to show at least $30,000 CAD. And this is assuming that you are going to Canada alone. If with a family, that is also possible, you need even more money.

It is also possible to pay for 1 semester instead of the whole academic year. Then the budget can be smaller, $10,000 — 15,000 CAD. But this may reduce the likelihood of obtaining a student visa. But it is better to discuss this issue with my wife — she is an immigration consultant and will be able not only to apply for a visa on your behalf, but also to find a university and an academic program.

You can sign up for a consultation at link.

Someone would say now that it is very expensive, but it is worth it, because at the output you will become a sought-after specialist, who will immediately earn good money. If you are considering professional immigration, you need to show a little less money, but who will need you after the move without a Canadian education and work experience in Canada?

Age

You can study in a Canadian university at any age, but know that visa officers usually give less permission for people after 30-35 years to study. You will need to prove why you want to study in Canada. The chances of obtaining a visa is better to discuss with my spouse, there all individually.

Entrance requirements

Usually, for admission to college there are no special requirements: it is enough school education, no need to pass any entrance exams, except the language test. It could be IELTS, which is expensive, TOEFL, Duolingo, etc. The passing score depends on the program, usually it is from IELTS 5.0 and above.

I know that taking exams is very stressful. To minimize the stress, you can take Canadian English courses online. And then you can go on to college after taking internal tests at the language school.

I am working with Canada's largest language school ILAC, I can register you there for free and offer minimal tuition fees. I made a separate video about ILAC, check it out. Moreover, in April they launched a very interesting loyalty program. It boils down to the fact that all the money you pay for your English course can be used as a discount on your college tuition.

Bottom line

Let's say you want to immigrate to Canada, you now have some level of English, but it is not enough for admission to a Canadian college, and you do not want to spend a lot of money to pass the IELTS. You are better to take a consultation right away from Ivanka — my wife, who will develop a strategy for your steps to move to Canada.

Through me you can enroll for minimal cost in English language courses that take place online and where the teachers are from Toronto and Vancouver. You will study there for 3-6 months and let's say you pay $500 or $1,000 CAD for studying — it all depends on your level. Then without taking IELTS, you enroll at one of the public colleges and get a discount on your fees equal to what you paid earlier.

After that, Ivanka will apply for a student visa. If nothing changes, you can start your studies online, and then you will have to come to Canada and study on campus. You will be able to work while you study. After you complete your studies, you can stay in Canada on a work visa, and your spouse will apply for your permanent residency.

If this path does not suit you, there are other options. You can take a free chance assessment to find out if you can do something or if you should forget about Canada.
