New Brunswick made immigration easier for truck drivers

The requirements are reduced only temporarily.

The province of New Brunswick has simplified stream immigration requirements for skilled workers. The changes are temporary and apply only to truck drivers.

From March 20 to September 31, 2021, to apply for immigration, drivers must have 6 months of work experience in New Brunswick instead of 9 months as before. The cumulative work experience in the profession must be 2 years. The provincial experience does not have to be from the same employer.

In New Brunswick, truck drivers earn an average of $18 CAD per hour — that's $2,880 per month on a 40-hour per week schedule.
