Immigration to Manitoba through the Human Capital Pathway

People with a strong connection to the Province of Manitoba and experience in an in-demand profession can immigrate to Canada through the provincial Human Capital Pathway program.

This Manitoba Provincial Program (MPNP) stream is designed for those who have (in addition to a close connection to the province) experience in an in-demand Manitoba profession.

Requirements

To be eligible to immigrate through the Human Capital Pathway, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years old;
  • have experience in a profession that is on the List of in-demand professions in Manitoba. Those whose work experience is 6 months or more have a higher chance of immigrating. The candidate must also provide a Career Plan.
  • Have English or French proficiency at 7 on CLB/NCLC if your occupation is a Regulated Occupation; at 6 on CLB/NCLC if your occupation falls within Compulsory Trades; at 5 on CLB/NCLC if your occupation falls within other occupations with skill levels 0, A and B on the NOC classification;
  • Provide a post-secondary education (degree, diploma or certificate) and an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report showing that the education you received outside of Canada is equivalent to a Canadian education;
  • if your profession requires licensing or certification, you must provide a license or certificate;
  • demonstrate the ability and intent to be economically settled and reside in Manitoba and have the demonstrated support of a close friend or relative who has lived in Manitoba for at least one year; OR provide proof of higher education in Manitoba within the last 5 years; OR provide proof of work experience in Manitoba within the last five years; OR have a valid Invitation to Apply from Manitoba;
  • demonstrate availability of sufficient amount of liquid funds.
