Professionals who have received a job offer in Prince Edward Island province may immigrate through the Skilled Workers Outside Canada stream.

The Skilled Workers Outside Canada stream of Prince Edward Island's provincial program is designed for qualified professionals who are outside Canada and have received a job offer in the province.

Requirements

To be eligible to apply through the Skilled Workers Outside Canada stream, you must meet the following requirements:

  • be between 18 and 59 years old;
  • have a permanent, non-seasonal job offer (for at least two years) in the province for an occupation in TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 according to the NOC classification;
  • have 2 years of work experience in the last 5 years;
  • have legal status in your country of residence;
  • have post-secondary education from a program lasting at least 2 years;
  • demonstrate English or French language proficiency at CLB level 4 (basic level) or provide confirmation from the employer that your language level is sufficient for the job;
  • demonstrate sufficient funds to cover immigration expenses and settlement in the province.

Important: For you to immigrate through this stream, your employer in Prince Edward Island must first contact the province's immigration department and obtain approval.

Candidate Assessment

Prince Edward Island uses a provincial "Expression of Interest" system to evaluate immigration candidates. You can earn up to 100 points for factors such as age, education, language proficiency, work experience, employment, and adaptability to the province. Points are awarded as follows:
