The Skilled Workers in PEI stream of the Prince Edward Island provincial program is for candidates who are currently working in the province.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for the Skilled Workers in PEI stream, you must meet the following requirements:

  • be between the ages of 18 and 59;
  • get a job offer in the province in occupation of NOC skill level 0, A or B (managerial, skilled or trades occupation);
  • have 2 years of work experience within the last 5 years;
  • work in the province at the time of application;
  • have completed education in a program of 2 years or more;
  • demonstrate proficiency in English or French at level 4 on the CLB scale (basic level) or provide a Workforce Job Offer Form where the employer states that your language level is sufficient for the job;
  • be able to financially support yourself and your family members.

Candidate evaluation

Prince Edward Island uses the provincial Expression of Interest system to assess candidates for immigration. It offers up to 100 points for factors such as age, education, language level, work experience, employment, and adaptability. Points are awarded as follows:
