Immigration to Saskatchewan for students

People who graduated in Canada can immigrate through the Saskatchewan Experience – Students stream.

The Students stream of Saskatchewan’s provincial program is for candidates who graduated from Canadian universities and have found work in the province.

The stream is divided into two categories:

  • students who have graduated from a Saskatchewan institute;
  • students who have graduated from an institute in Canada.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for the Students stream, you must meet a number of requirements depending on the category you fit into.

The criteria for students who have graduated from a Saskatchewan institute are as follows:

  • graduate from a Saskatchewan institute and get a Post-Graduation Work Permit;
  • have worked for 6 months in the province, including on-campus work, various internships, and work on PGWP;
  • get a job offer in the province related to the education received:
    • in NOC skills level 0, A or B occupation (managerial, skilled and trades occupations);
    • or in occupation from the list of designated trades;
  • for those who have received a NOC C-level job offer (low-skilled occupations): demonstrate proficiency in English or French at level 4 on the CLB scale.
