Immigration to the Northwest Territories with selection through Express Entry

Candidates who have found work in the territory can immigrate through the NWT Express Entry stream.

The NWT Express Entry stream of the Northwest Territories program allows highly skilled professionals who are registered with Express Entry and have found work in the territory to immigrate.

Eligibility

To apply for the NWT Express Entry stream, you must meet certain criteria. First, you must meet the requirements of one of the federal immigration programs and register with the Express Entry system.

  • have 1 year of work experience within the last 10 years;
  • demonstrate proficiency in English or French:
    • for NOC 0 and A occupations: at level 7 on the CLB scale;
    • for NOC B occupations: at level 5 on the CLB scale.

How to apply

After registering with Express Entry, you can apply for the NWT Express Entry stream on the official Northwest Territories website.
