Immigration to Newfoundland and Labrador for skilled workers

Professionals who are in demand in the provincial labor market can immigrate through the Skilled Worker stream.

The Skilled Worker stream of the Newfoundland and Labrador provincial program is designed for qualified individuals who have received a job offer from one of the province's employers.

Eligibility

To be able to immigrate through the Skilled Worker stream, you must:

  • be between the ages of 21 and 59;
  • get a job offer in Newfoundland and Labrador and a work permit in Canada;
  • have a sufficient amount of money to settle in the province;
  • for TEER 4 and 5 occupations on the NOC National Occupational Classification (semi— and low-skilled) — demonstrate English or French language proficiency at level 4 on the CLB scale (basic level).
