Requirements
To immigrate through the Morden program, you must meet the following requirements:
- be between 21 and 45 years old;
- have no connections to other Canadian cities or provinces;
- have completed an educational program lasting at least 1 year;
- have a minimum of 2 years of work experience in the last five years and demonstrate the ability to find work in the same field in Manitoba;
- demonstrate English or French language proficiency at CLB level 7 in each skill for TEER 0-1 occupations, level 5 for TEER 2-3 occupations, and level 4 for TEER 4-5 occupations;
- have sufficient funds to support yourself and your family members after moving.
In-demand Occupations
Morden primarily invites candidates with family connections to the city or those with in-demand occupations to immigrate. Occupations are selected based on an analysis of the current labor market situation. In 2024, the priority occupations for immigration to Morden are:
- General practitioners and family physicians (NOC 31102);
- Registered nurses (NOC 31301).
How to Apply
Applications for immigration to Morden are submitted through the official website. If you qualify, Morden will issue you a letter of support or an invitation for an exploratory visit to the city (not always required). About 50 families are selected annually through this program.
