Ontario and New Brunswick Master's programs: new opportunities to study in Canada

Ontario and New Brunswick Master

We participated in the "Virtual CPF – Pathway to Master's" webinar and are ready to present the best master's programs from Canadian universities in Ontario and New Brunswick.

Virtual CPF — Pathway to Master's" webinar was held on February 29, 2024, where Canadian educational institutions presented their master's degree programs. We are ready to summarize the results and tell you why Master's programs are so attractive today.

Benefits of studying for a master's degree in Canada

This year, the Government of Canada has adopted a number of restrictive measures for the admission of international students and the issuance of student visas. However, they will have little or no impact on those students who intend to study in master's and doctoral programs. Thus, applicants for study visas for these programs will not have to provide provincial attestation letters, they will still be able to obtain a work permit both during training and after completion of the educational program, and work permits will be issued to their spouses.

Thus, by far, master's programs seem to be the most beneficial and attractive proposition for moving to Canada through education.

Presenting the universities

The webinar meeting was divided into two separate sessions: universities from Ontario and New Brunswick participated in the first session. All universities prepared colorful presentations of their programs for admission, spoke in detail about the advantages of studying at their institutions. We would like to briefly introduce the participants and their programs.

International Business University (IBU)

IBU is a new generation university that offers a personalized approach to learning, personal mentoring and a individual academic advisor for each student. It is possible to choose master's degree programs (MBA) in three areas: 1) Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship; 2) Financial and Management Analytics; 3) Global Business Management.

The university campuses are located in the business center of Toronto, and the study schedule is hybrid, so it is easy for a student to combine education and work. In addition, the programs are optimized in such a way that it is possible to complete them in just 16 months. There is also a $5,000 CAD master's scholarship available, which is split over all four semesters. The cost for a full course of study is $34,500 CAD ($8,625 CAD per semester).

Laurentian University

The university is located in the city of Sudbury, 380 kilometers north of Toronto. The city itself is known primarily for its mining industry, but is also a center for medical, management and financial services.

The university itself offers students a number of advantages: affordable cost of living and education, small classes, constant contact with university teachers and staff, and a large variety of programs of study.

At the webinar, the university representatives emphasized the educational programs aimed at obtaining a master's degree in engineering and business administration. The engineering program offers six of today's most relevant majors, with a curriculum that covers all of today's most current practices and helps students enter the profession and get the best job offer immediately after graduation. The School of Business programs have approximately 1,900 students, who get the opportunity to study commercial data analysis, human resources management, accounting and finance, and logistics management at a top-class international level. The Organizational Management program is available with a one-year or three-year study schedule and is designed more for those students who already have a management background.
