Canada ranked 7th in the list of strongest passports

How many countries can citizens visit without a visa?

Arton Capital, an international financial advisory firm, has published its regular passport ranking. Every year, the passports of the world's countries are sorted according to their mobility score, i.e. the number of countries that let in the holders of this document under a simplified procedure: without a visa or with a visa on arrival.

Canada ranked 7th in the 2024 ranking, sharing it with 4 other countries — the mobility score of all five was 173. At the same time, Canada loses to its five rival countries:

  • Malta — 127 countries can be entered without a visa, another 46 with a visa on arrival;
  • Estonia and Lithuania — 125 countries can be entered without a visa, another 48 with a visa on arrival;
  • Slovenia — 124 countries can be entered without a visa, another 49 with a visa on arrival;
  • Canada — 123 countries can be entered without a visa, another 50 with a visa on arrival.

Passport holders of these five need a visa to travel to 25 countries.
