Another Alberta immigration screening

Candidates with family ties in the province are welcome to apply.

Alberta held another invitation drawing on Oct. 26 for applicants with in-demand occupations who have close family ties to the province. In-demand occupations include occupations with significant imbalances in Alberta's long-term employment outlook and occupations with "high" or "moderately high" demand in the short-term employment outlook (from web developers to truck drivers). Details can be found on the province's website.

A total of 100 invitations were sent out on October 26 to candidates with more than 369 points in the Comprehensive Ranking System. Points are awarded for age, work experience, education, language skills and so on.

The last time applicants with in-demand occupations and relatives in the province were invited by Alberta October 5. At that time, the pass rate was significantly lower at 323.
